TheĀ first Gold Coast Come and Try Blind Golf Day held at the Glades Driving Range on August 28 has been hailed as a great success.
Gold Coast Golf Coach, Todd Sleep PGA from TS Golf Academy played host to Blind Golf Queensland members and six new golfers who were keen to give the sport of golf a try.
A team of support professionals including an Occupational Therapist and a Mobility Specialist from Vision Australia also came along to provide support and to see for themselves firsthand the benefits which the sport of blind golf can provide to blind and visually-impaired players.
Due to the great response from the event, Blind Golf Queensland hopes to hold another come and try day next month which will include a course experience for anyone who would like to get out there and give blind golf a crack.
Thanks again to everyone who attended.
